RARE BOOKS FOR SALE
click on images to go to enlargements RELATIVITY, Albert Einstein. Early hardback editions with facsimile dust jackets. This is Einstein's popular exposition of the Special and General Theories of Relativity, published by Henry Holt in the US. I have three copies, one dated 1920 and two dated 1921. All are in very good condition, with no writing or foxing within. The 1920 copy says 1920 on the title page, which indicates a first or very early printing. The other two state 1921 on the title page, which indicates an early printing. All are rare and collectible. I created the facsimile dust jacket myself, so that I could print it on thick archival paper. It will last much longer than the original dust jacket did, especially since all copies are now in new Brodart mylar protectors. Some readers have asked me if I would be willing to sign these books as coming from the library of Miles Mathis. I would, and I can sign in either pencil or pen. However, they aren't signed now, for those who prefer no signatures.
