Q: Why is this site offline so often? A: Because my free webspace provider temporarily closes down sites which receive too much traffic, the daily amount of visitors this site can handle is limited so when it is offline you'll have to come back later.
Q: What is "Proto-Germanic"? A: Proto-Germanic is the word that is used to refer to the common ancestors of the Germanic peoples of Europe before their separation, the origin of this people lies in southern Scandinavia and the northern part of mainland Europe.
Q: Which countries are considered "Germanic" nowadays? A: Although every country has its own identity it is clear that many countries share a common origin, the word "Germanic countries" refers to all the countries of which the majority of its identity descends from Germanic roots; this description can be applied to most countries in northwestern Europe as well as their descendants in other parts of the world like northern America and Australia.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, the Färöer islands, western Finland, northern France, Germany, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the Orkney islands, the Scottish lowlands, the Shetland islands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States.
Other parts of the world which underwent Germanic influences in their history:
Cornwall (Anglo-Saxons), the Crimea (Goths), Greenland (Vikings), northern Italy (Goths and Langobardians), Ireland (Anglo-Saxons and Vikings), Normandy (Vikings), Russia, Ukraine, and other areas in eastern Europe (Goths and Varangians), South Africa (the Afrikaners are of Dutch/English descent), Spain (Suebians, Vandals, and Visigoths), Wales (Anglo-Saxons)
Q: Where did you get the information that you have used on this site? A: I read a lot of books and surf the internet almost every day, so sometimes it is difficult to find the exact source I used for something, but I can assure you that I only use credible sources and don't make things up, a list of many of the sources I have used can be found in the site menu.

I sometimes use material that I have found somewhere on the internet or that has been sent to me without knowing that they are copyrighted.
